Omima Aboelnasr is an Egyptian visual artist whose artistic journey is inspired by the beauty of nature, which continues to influence the colors and forms of her work.
Her style relies on the interplay of color, shadow, and light to convey emotion and depth. She uses color symbolism to express meaning, allowing the viewer to experience the essence of her work through a distinctive artistic language that reflects her personal vision and sensibility. Freed from the constraints of realistic representation, she transforms traditional forms into more intuitive and liberated expressions, offering a fresh perspective on precise natural symmetry. Her work is influenced by the aesthetics of nature and the human condition.

Statement
My artistic practice is rooted in a deep relationship with nature, which serves as a constant source of inspiration and contemplation.
Through light, color, rhythm, and composition, I reinterpret the natural landscape beyond its direct representation, seeking to capture its spirit and emotional essence. I work with oil and acrylic in a style that blends Expressionism and Impressionism, where color conveys emotion and texture becomes an integral part of my visual language. A distinctive aspect of my practice is blending colors directly on the canvas with my fingers, creating unique transitions, textures, and effects that reflect my personal artistic vision and allow me to express the atmosphere of nature with authenticity and spontaneity.
I seek a balance between simplicity and emotional intensity, and between quiet spaces and free, expressive lines. For me, nature is more than a visual subject; it is an open emotional experience. Through each work, I aim to create a moment of calm and contemplation, inviting the viewer to connect with a feeling that extends beyond the boundaries of the scene into their own personal experience.
